TEPPFA - Introduction in Quality of Product

TEPPFA members are committed to supporting the high quality level of their products. They appreciate the importance of a good image for our products in the market. These quality levels are laid down by a series of European Standards that meet the critical performance requirements of users.

Quality Marks are widely used for plastic pipes. When plastic pipe systems were introduced to the market more than 50 years ago, producers and users agreed that high quality levels were essential for widespread acceptance of these ‘new' products on the market.

This has led to a number of Quality Marks in many European countries. Such Quality Marks can be obtained for a product per application and are administered by official Certification Bodies. But certification does not end there. Factory inspections by accredited Test Institutes are a regular occurrence.

Quality Marks are based on product standards and standards for test methods as developed by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) and by the International Standards Organisation (ISO).

TEPPFA experts are intensively involved in this work. Nothing less than high quality products are acceptable.
