Yes - Structured wall pipes and solid wall pipes meet the same basic performance requirements.

  • The recently published European Standard for structured wall plastic sewer pipes includes an extensive range of performance tests most of which are taken from the existing standards for solid wall plastic sewer pipes.

  • Tests include impact resistance, leak tightness of joints and elevated temperature cycling taken from the solid wall pipe standards.

  • In addition test are conducted to determine the ring stiffness and ring flexibility of structured wall pipes to provide a means of comparing their structural performance with solid wall pipes.
