Are there EN standards for all plastic sewer pipe systems?
Yes - all types of plastic sewer pipes are now covered by EN Standards.
- All types of plastic sewer pipes are covered by European Product Standards. These include both solid wall and structured wall constructions in PVC-u, polypropylene and polyethylene.
- The performance test requirements in these standards are generally rationalised so that the specifier can be sure that whichever material or type of plastic sewer pipe they specify the product will be fit for its intended application.
- The standardised fittings for smooth wall compact pipes are applicable for structured wall pipes with smooth outer wall and of the same material.
