What is the recommended minimum depth of cover for plastic sewer pipes?
Different countries have varying requirements however extensive research with traffic loading on pipes with as little as 800 mm cover has been successfully undertaken.
- The recommended Teppfa design graphs are validated for depths of cover from 0,8 - 6 meter.
- The Teppfa buried pipes project includes test results showing that the traffic load does not result in an extra load on the pipe crown, but speeds up the process of soil compaction around the pipe, which ends up in the same final deflection of the pipe.
