Can off-cuts and recovered pipes be recycled?

Yes - The EN standards explain how and where recycled pipe can be re-used in production of new pipes.
  • All EN standards for plastic sewer pipes allow the use of own rework without limitations.


  • The use of recycled pipes and fittings is allowed for 100% in the intermediate layer of multi layer structured wall pipes (Type A1).


  • For other types of structured wall pipes, guidance and provisions are given in the annexes of EN13476-2.


  • EN13476-2 annex J gives an overview of the use of recycled materials for all types of structured wall sewer pipes.
